“Not since Dexter's The Paperboy has a novel blown me to hell and back. A stunning game of blackmail, murder, manipulation propel Joe into a league that includes one . . . himself. Hi Bill,
"Leather Maiden" looks good but right now I am really, really enjoying "Of All Sad Words."
It is a lot of fun.

Glad to hear it, Terrie!
This Lansdale fellow, I hear he sloshes around in the lowest levels of human behavior and then in a kind of interwoven sort of way makes light of all the grotesqueries or even more heartless, dismisses them as of no consequence. Or even more shamelessly yet, forces you to smile at it all. it's, like, ... i dont know....just wrong. I dont really approve of this sort of thing.
Hey, who does?
