In some cases, you haven't missed much. SNEAKERS, for example, has an excellent cast playing arrested development cases. If you've been faunching to see Robert Redford and Sidney Poitier portraying what amounts to the Seth Green character from the remake of THE ITALIAN JOB, this is the film for you.
And, of course, leaving aside the notion that all of these films are great, Bill advisedly wrote SF as in "speculative fiction" among other things, because a number of these aren't sf/science fiction by any but the most ridiculous stretching of the term. While several of those are fine or at least interesting-enough fantasies. Then there's BRIMSTONE AND TREACLE, which features therapeutic rape...no, thanks, I think I'll try the talk therapy.

I feel deprived. The Manchurian Candidate is the only one of these I've seen.
