While half-disagreeing with you, Cap'n, FRIENDS definitely No (not that FAMILY and R didn't have their bad episodes and even seasons--so did DRAGNET). It's a list from the kind of guy who would write that introduction, who isn't old enough to have seen most of the stuff from the '50s and '60s and hasn't done the not-that-difficult research if one's in NYC...
