I'm Not Unplugged! And Big News!

Well, sort of not. The dial-up I'm using isn't as fast as RoadRunner, but at least I'm on-line.

I've been told that "Cranked" has been nominated for an Anthony. Very cool. An Edgar nom, a Derringer nom (and win!), and now this. Thanks to all who helped stuff the ballot box.

Thanks, Victor and Gerard, and congratulations to you, Victor, on your own nomination!

Congrats, Bill. BTW, I finished BUNNY LAKE IS MISSING. A very neurotic protagonist--I want to shake her through the book pages. But an interesting read. I enjoyed IN A LONELY PLACE more. I'm now reading THE GIRLS IN 3-B.

I'm embarrassed to say I've never read BUNNY LAKE, but I saw the movie. I've read IN A LONELY PLACE and seen the movie. Great Bogie stuff. And I'll be interested to hear your take on the Taylor book.

Good luck at Bouchercon, folks! And I wonder if I was to read BUNNY LAKE, if the Zombies' "She's Not There" would tend to run through my mind...

Just finished interviewing Harlan Ellison...now to transcribe. And sleep.

If I was going to the con you know you'd have my vote, Bill.

This time you have to win.

An interview with Ellison? Should be interesting, Todd.

Jeff, I'd love to win, but it's an honor just to be nominated!

Sorry I won't be at B'con to vote for you, Bill. I'm sure you deserve the win, but when you consider that B'con these days is innundated with cozy fans, I think you ought to keep polishing the "it's an honor to be nominated" line. Alack!

Congratulations, Bill!

Thanks, Cap'n Bob & Vince. I know that line well enough by now, Cap'n. I can repeat it in my sleep.

Continued congrats, Bill. I'm finally getting caught up on my blog reading after a week on the Mexican border. With all this attention, you'd think people would wise up and read your stuff more.
