Never much cared for the original. I mean, how many old army buddies can one man have.

On this one I'll disagree with Steve. I liked it. The blend of humor, action characters made it fun, and the Ferrari wasn't bad either. The idea of a new version, however, no. It was a show of it's time, and ought to remain there.

1. It's not the '80s anymore.
2. A woman Magnum.
3. Eva Longoria is putting on this crap.

If John (LEVERAGE) Rogers is involved, I'd guess it would be worth at least one look. But I am not optimistic. Hollywood's "we own the rights, so it'll be cheap" philosophy of remakes has not, for the most part, been a terribly successful one (you'd think they would have noticed that by now).

I don't understand these things. Their presumable "target" audience is too young to remember the original show, except maybe in reruns, so what is the value of of the connection? Unless of course Selleck is planning to show up for a cameo now and then, maybe he'll be Robin Master's replacement. Hmm.
