Hard to argue with this list.Gratifying to see someone else agrees with me about She Wore a Yellow Ribbon 8-)They're all very good indeed, but the Ford and Fellini pairings remain my favorites.
My argument would be for Hitchcock and Grant, and Stewart with Mann. Hitchcock's work with Grant included some of the best work of both men's careers - Notorious, To Catch A Thief and North By Northwest to name but three. As for Stewart and Mann, I think it can be quite readily argued that Mann's work with Stewart, starting with "Winchester 73" literally helped to revive and redefine Jimmy Stewart's career after his military service.
