Have heard of this one but haven't read it. Any comments pro or con from you seasoned readers?

It's short-story collection. I haven't read all the stories, but I like the ones I have.

Kirk, the editor of THE UNIVERSITY BOOKMAN and contributor to NATIONAL REVIEW (and author of THE CONSERVATIVE MIND) wasn't the best ghost story writer of his generation (hello, Robert Aickman), but he was certainly good and reasonably prolific and his work would frequently turn up in the likes of THE MAGAZINE OF FANTASY AND SCIENCE FICTION and Kirby McCauley's original anthologies. Good stuff, in short.

Thanks for the feedback.I'll give it a whirl!
I admire Kirk's non-fiction, although not always in agreement. Haven't read any of his fiction.
