BILL CRIDER'S POP CULTURE MAGAZINE
I love director Minoru Kawasaki. Executive Koala, about a koala salaryman who might also be a serial killer, is one of my favorite films of the Oughties, completely deranged in a good way. He has also made movies about a crab soccer goalie, and a cop whose toupee is a lethal weapon when tossed.
I love this movie so much I own the DVD and the action figure. http://www.flickr.com/photos/80062593@N00/86611531/in/set-72057594048382816/
This is known as The Calamari Wrestler, and it's a hoot and a half. It and Executive Koala are well worth checking out. The other two Minoru Kawasaki films I've seen (Rug Cop and The World Sinks Except Japan) aren't as good.
