Once Again, Texas Leads the Way

Leavin' on a Jet Plane? Karaoke arrives at Bush airport | Top stories | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle: "Air travel and karaoke. They go together like, um, like — well, we're not exactly sure.

No matter. Karaoke has landed at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, just in time for the holiday season. Now you can clear security, step up to the microphone and belt out your travel frustrations by singing the Beatles' Nowhere Man or Help! Or, if you're not such a Grinch, you can croon Home for the Holidays or Sentimental Journey."

Hey, that could be a new revenue stream. Start singing and hold up a cup labeled, donate to shut me up.

Hey, you're right. I could make a fortune.

Why does it seem appropriate that an idea this bad should happen at an airport named George Bush?

My wife discovered the echo dome at the Houston airport on a trip through there last year. Unfortunately, since our trip to Austin to see the kids this Xmas is through Dallas-FW instead, we won't see either the dome or the Karaoke.

Thank God I'm not hitting Murder by the Book this month.
