Happy Birthday, Susan Anton!

The Goldengirl turns 55 today. The '70's wouldn't have been complete without her. There's a mystery-writing connection here, for you trivia fans. But I'm not telling.

Gee, I'd forgotten all about her. Did she actually have any talent other than looking pretty?

Mystery connection 1: Goldengirl was one of three novels Peter Lovesey wrote as Peter Lear.
Mystery connection 2: (At least it's a mystery to me) Why she's never called me.

I was wondering if I'd get anybody to post a comment about "Peter Lear." Susan Anton never called me, either, but then I never gave her my number.

Bill, Looks and talent aside,Susan was an absolute sweetheart during the time I dealt with her, when she was one of the guests on a Suzanne Somers CBS-TV special we did at the Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany. Susan made the trip with her boyfriend at the time, the gifted and missed Dudley Moore, and they were never less than fun company. Have no idea where she disappeared to or what she's up to nowadays...
