No Ride the High Country or The Cowboys? I would not include Way Out West. Never liked Johnny Guitar. Rio Bravo is overrated-Dean Martin looked out of place in a western and Ricky Nelson couldn't act. The original True Grit is inferior the the Coen Brothers. John Wayne was good but Glen Campbell and Kim Darby were awful.
No SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SHERIFF? I love WAY OUT WEST (if only for the dance), but I don't put it in the "western" category. Of course I disagree with Steve on RIO BRAVO.
Pretty spotty. Some things that aren't really westerns, and spoofs don't belong. No Boetticher/Scott, no Ride the High Country. (Spits tobacco contemptuously.)

I'm a fan of RIO BRAVO. I can't figure the omission of RIDE THE HIGH COUNTRY, or the low rating for SHANE, although I know some don't care for it.
I looked at that list 3 times, and I have just 3 words:
The
Magnificent
Seven
Don-That should be on there.
That one would be on my list
Nothing by Boetticher and Randy Scott? And, speaking of Scott, no Ride the High Country?

What Allegretti and Collins said. No Scott/Boetticher, indeed.
pretty stupid list - no The Gunfighter ***greatest western ever made, next to Stagecoach***
