I'm not sure if the figure I got (2,080) is the number of books I have left to read or the total I will have read in my life. I'm almost 60 and since my late teens, I've averaged about 100 books per year, so I'm guessing I've read about 4,000 right now. Well, as I believe Schopenhauer said, we buy books in the hopes that we will live long enough to read them.

How many books will I read before I die> Not enough!
1500 more sounds about right, although if I actually make it for another 19 years, I should top 2000.

Well over four.
Deb, that's the number you're likely to read in the balance of your life as they augur it.
