I'm not sure the present NYC is a better place...
If you had the money of Morgan or Carnegie, 1905 would have been pretty sweet.If you were poor, not so much.
What's surprising to me is how little some of that has changed.And Jeff is certainly right...but being poor anywhere or any time is never fun.
That is a very cool slide effect he got, and I love the old/new photos. Great post.
