George-Foundation is on there. I have read all 17 also. I may have left a few of these off. The last time I tried I couldn't get through Ringword or Foundation. The Dying Earth by Vance or Hyperion by Dan Simmons or certainly some Gene Wolfe.
A good, but pretty conventional list, I'd say. I've read (I think) 15 of the 17 (actually more than 17, I guess; you'd almost have to be including the whole Foundation trilogy).
I suspect I would not have put Slaughterhouse-Five on the list, as I do not think of it as an SF novel.

I've read all 17. But I would have picked a different set of books. No Jack Vance or FOUNDATION Trilogy!
