You should follow the link in the article to the original article and the list of 50 endangered words and phrases. I've heard a couple of these, and read some more, but many are completely new to me; fascinating stuff.
No loss to me, I guess, in my 70 years I don't think I've heard or read any of them.
Three or four of the Southwest/Gulf Coast words or phrases were in common use when I was growing up.
