I've spent a lot of time at playgrounds since Sofia turned three and I've noted the big changes since I was a sprout. No seesaws, no whirl arounds, no high slides. Some of the stuff still looks dangerous, though. And what's with beauty bark for a ground cover? I remember a very tall slide in one park when I was about four. Kids would slide down it sitting on sheets of wax paper. After a few trips it would be lightning fast and launch you six to ten feet away at the bottom of the slide. I miss the old days.
What a great project! I'm glad someone has been taking those pictures. Some of the new equipment is also dangerous, like those spiderweb things, but the slides are ridiculously short and slow now.
