Because of my worry about what is happening you, my friends--even those who haven't read your blog or any of your book-- have heard about your struggle and are also praying and hoping you well.
I hate the circumstances under which you are going, but am glad that M.D. Anderson is nearby. I've heard only great reports about them. I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
M.D. Anderson is the best--and that's not just my opinion. They are one of the best, if not the best, in the world. They saved my life against all odds 25 years ago. You're in good hands. I hope the VBK are doing well. We are all pulling for you.
Best wishes from a long-time former M.D. Anderson employee who was also a patient. It's like a small city now with bigger crowds, longer waits and more bureaucracy, but the people there still make an extra effort for the patients!
I've never met you, but have seen / heard you on several panels and have enjoyed being educated and entertained by your blog and your books. Hope I don't seem too selfish in saying that I'm eagerly awaiting your return for our continuing 'education' 8-)
They're making new discoveries and finding more effective methods of treatment every day, and M.D. Anderson is on top of them all. I enjoy your books and your blog and am certain you'll be back at both soon.
