I have the one with Pia Zadora on the cover.
Darn! Dan keeps beating me to the comments. Who among us can forget Pia Zadora's nuanced performance in the film adaptation?
And the old prunes at the so-called Academy denied her an Oscar nomination.
But she got her own back--winning an Oscar in "The Lonely Lady".
Yeah, right. It was the garden hose scene that did it.
Am I the only one who actually *likes* the movie based on this book? Or at least I did when I watched it 30 years ago. I haven't seen it since.
I watched it for the hot Pia scenes. That's all I remember about it.
