I have fond memories of THE DUM-DUM MURDERS. I was 16 years old and I tried to buy this book in a little corner store. The woman cashier looked me up and down and said, "Aren't you a little young to be reading this kind of book?" I just put my money on the counter and she sold me the book.

You could have said, "I'm just buying it for the cover."
Laughable that the cover blurb says her hair was very long which the painting shows short hair.
