I read the whole trilogy in te early 1960s, and loved it...read it (well, tried to read it) again in the 1980s, and was like "Why did I think this was good?" Me, or the books?
I read it in the '50s and thought it was great. I've never tried again and probably shouldn't.
I never noticed this before, but the Bard on the back cover looks a bit -um- dissipated?
Seems right, somehow.
