If you check out this map of Yosemite National Parkhttp://www.lonelyplanet.com/maps/north-america/usa/yosemite-national-park/You will see a short stretch of road from the Est side of the park to Lee Vining. It took 3 hours to drive that: corkscrew up, then corkscrew down, with cliffs, drop-offs--it was like riding a wild horse.
I'd rather stay at home.
