i suspect you're even less upset about this omission than several others...you're probably more unsuited for this one than nearly any other you've cited...

I don't think he comes close to any of these folks.
He was awfully self-important. But I must admit the Nicholas Sparks thing was my favorite.Jeff
well, Sparks does assess McCarthy correctly. Interesting that this is held to be one of his sins.
