My most vivid memory of the film (besides this great song and whistling) was a very quiet, stealthy scene when my BFF beside me said, rather loudly, into a hushed theater, "Where's he going?" I was so embarrassed. I think I was 12 and easily embarrassed back then. My pal Sharon was not too bright, and sadly, she died at least two decades ago of breast cancer. Some memories just stick like glue. The proverbial glue. This is one of them.

Great movie, too.
Also a great novel.

Thanks for sharing that memory, Kay.
