I'll always take time to watch the final poker game in Cincinnati Kid; it's a compelling scene in an otherwise not-so-hot movie, like the chariot race in Ben-Hur. BUT, it's spoiled by the clumsy montage of voiceovers from the spectators ("He's got the jack!" "No,he's trying to buy the pot", etc.). I presume somebody thought it necessary to clue the non-poker savvy audience into what was happening. The two marathon pool games in The Hustler did it right. Art Scott

If they were sick, they should have stayed home in bed, instead of playing poker.
