Oh Jeff, you beat me to the JEH reference. I remember reading somewhere that agents would have to drive miles out of their way to avoid a dreaded left turn. That man was bonkers!
Coincidently, not five minutes after reading the article, I had to run a quick errand and I saw a UPS van making a left turn out of a housing subdivision onto the main road.
