The two Death Merchant books I've read were really awful. Poorly written and extremely racist. In such a way as to be unintentionally hilarious.

I've never read one, but I've heard that most are like that.

It's worth mentioning that the Death Merchant is basically a sociopath. The thing about it is I don't know if Rosenberger realizes it. I'm pretty sure Donald Westlake did not approve of everything about Parker, but Rosenmberger seems to assume being indifferent to human life is the correct attitude.

They are so offensive, so poorly written, and so strange that they are kind of worth reading just to say you have.
