When I was in school, 70% of the cholera in the state was found in the Charles River. Getting off a boat one day, I slipped and my leg went into the water -- but it wasn't really water, I swear, it was just something that got incrementally thicker the deeper it got.
I first heard this one when I was living in Tucson, they weren't playing it on the west coast yet. Great sound, though not much to the lyrics. Then that was often true of the time.

The Boston water really was awful, up through the early 1970s, at least. Rest in peace.

My computer shows Casey Lansdale, and yesterday the clips didn't match the posting in a couple of things. I wonder why.
Blogger must be acting up again.
