I used to live within walking distance of the Cinerama Dome and used to go there occasionally. I remember seeing the restored version of Abel Gance's Napoleon there on a triple-screen some time in the early 1980s.
I remember going into the city to see it. I remember a roller coaster ride in it. It was obviously a revival because I sure didn't see it in 1952. It was probably the early to mid 1960s.

God, I remember going to see THIS IS CINERAMA.
Face it, we're old.

I was never near enough to a Cinerama theater to see a movie in that format, more's the pity.

I eagerly read all about it as a kid and wanted to go to Dallas to see This is Cinerama, but it never happened. I missed out on the revival, too.
