So did we and we loved it. I don't think I even knew who Peter Jackson was at the time but we got a real kick out of it. Loved the New Zealand setting too.
Never saw it, although I did see and loved Heavenly Creatures. It's sad to think that this was Michael J. Fox's second-to-last starring role and that it was almost 20 years ago.

I know what he means about Tim Burton as it does remind me - a little at least - of BEETLEJUICE.
