I have this one somewhere but haven't read it. Les Scott was really A. Leslie Scott, author of countless pulp and paperback Westerns as Bradford Scott and A. Leslie and 55 of the Jim Hatfield novels as Jackson Cole. Plus I believe his son is thriller author Justin Scott, currently one of Clive Cussler's collaborators.
Thanks, James. This was another name I was sure was a pseudonym, but I couldn't find anything about it. I see that it's not so much a pen name as a different version of the one I know.
I've read one of the Les Scott softcore paperbacks, TWILIGHT WOMEN, which was originally published in hardback as THREE CAN LOVE by Arco Books. Despite the title(s), it's actually sort of a sexy South Seas jungle adventure with a volcano and everything (no quicksand, though, that I recall) and is pretty entertaining in an over-the-top way.
