This is old news on fan-fic sites. There's plenty of hot-and-heavy going on betwee Jane and Mr. Rochester, Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy, Scarlett and Rhett, even Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock!
This is why having a female Watson is a good idea.
Actually I have a suspicion that anyone who tries to imply a sexual relationship between Holmes and Dr. John Watson will find themselves facing significant trouble from the Doyle estate. The quite openly told Guy Ritchie for example that there should not even be the suggestion that the relationship between Holmes and Watson was sexual. OR ELSE!
