You can argue that the making of a television show was not its central premise, but there is still no way that anyone with a clue can leave The Dick Van Dyke Show off of a list like this.
I recall a little hole-in-the-wall sitcom called It's My Talk Show, or something like that, which was enjoyable. A young woman did a talk show out of her house.
I'm ashamed I didn't think of the Van Dyke show when looking through the list. But you're right, Greg, that should have been on here. (Maybe the two Shandling shows should have shared one slot.)
