We have the CD of the short-lived musical, which played in Miami but never made it to Broadway.
I liked his semi-autobiographical novel, City Boy: The Adventures of Herbie Bookbinder about an 11 year old Jewish boy growing up in The Bronx in 1928.

I read that one more than 50 years ago. Liked it a lot at the time.
