Arguably, Mr. Spock and STAR TREK and John McIntyre and WAGON TRAIN, using the same interpretations of "saved" as some of these entries. As long as they mentioned MASH and CHEERS, they should have noted Mike Farrell and Kirstie Alley as others who stepped in when earlier actors left the series.
Okay, here's one from out of the ballpark, Benny Hill. Of course, he WAS the show, but the shows were mostly comedy schticks that would likely not have made it as 3rd rate vaudeville acts if done by anyone else! I mostly laughed and I always smiled! If someone had told me beforehand that I would like him, I would have sneered!
General agreement with article. Good to see Harry Morgan included on MASH.

I am shocked to find that AFTERMASH had a second season.
I think the Hof saved BAYWATCH by also appearing in BAYWATCH NIGHTS. Viewers then realized how bad BAYWATCH could have been.
