I like Traci Lords, she does pretty decent in her acting jobs.

I like Traci Lords, too. This is one adventure flick I'll actually pay to see. I'm pretty sure it won't have car wrecks or semis being thrown around like tinker toys. That in itself will make it worth seeing.

Straight to video release. Looks like it was shot in a California backlot. I'll wait for John Carter of Mars-at least it has name actors and a script by Michael Chabon.

This one doesn't look like a winner, but at least someone is trying to get ERB back on the big screen.

From the same people that brought you "Pirates of Treasure Island" "2012: Supernova" and the classic "Snakes on a Train". This company in known for rushing out cheap, direct to video releases based on whatever is causing buzz in the theatres. Here's to some of thier other "fine" cinema. http://www.theasylum.cc/

JoBlow website confirmed there is supposed to be a DISNEY released version, but this film is a quick-and-cheap release straight to video!

Is anyone free to make a John Carter of Mars movie without paying royalties, or is it a deal like the Tarzan books where the books are public domain but the character isn't?

Rating 1-10, this one gets a zero. Tracy is nice but even she can't correct a miserable re-write of the original book. The names were the same but that's about it. ERB must be doing about 7200 R.P.M. in his grave.
