I've known about Houdini's silents for years. It was part of his lifelong effort to be known as more than "just" a magician. Did you know, for example that he was the first man to fly an airplane in Australia? He said at the time that that achievement would be remembered far longer than all the magic tricks he ever did. Now it's just a bit of useless trivia as are the movies he made, but the magic lives on.
BTW, I went to the web site and found the following: You get 5 movies and a total of 450 minutes. One movie is 258 minutes long, another 5 minutes (it's just a fragment). Pre-order price is $29.96. Yes, 96¢. Release date is April 8.

Wow, I thought the robot from Gene Autry's Phantom Empire was the All-Time Klunkiest, but we now have a new title-holder!
Art Scott
And it's mysterious powers seem superior to those Gene encountered!

Good trivia, though. I've read about the silents in a couple of bios, and I think seeing them would be fun.
Amen, Bill. Those scenes looked like great cliffhanger material to me.

A 258-minute movie? Wow. Must be quite the epic tale.
