Is FelonSpy for Real?

That's the question Mike McGruff asks on his blog. FelonSpy purports to pinpoint on a map the felons living in your neighborhood. But typing in the same address twice gives different results. So what's up?

Update: It's a hoax.

since you can technically become a felon for almost any legislated infraction, this guide will be basically just another new phonebook. it's the felons that never got caught and registered that are the more dangerous ones. them's the ones there needs to be a book for.

My next door neighbor (townhouses)has twice the felons near her. I'm glad I chose to live on my side of the wall.

99% of felons have committed the crime of ownership. the other one percent go toward the line of least resistance. if you can growl you can usually send them heading off toward another target.

The people that actually "do the jailing" - which would be the lawmakers, the cops and the wardens and guards - are infinitely more vicious than the people they are jailing. they just hide it better.

FelonSpy is a hoax. The names are made-up. The whole website is a fraud. Do not use it. It is 100% false.
