I had nothing to say about the list this year, but Ivan Shreve does, over at his blog. He even lists his own Top 100, and I like his list a lot. You know it's good because it has Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein on it.

But does it have Gator Bait or Evil Dead II or Bubba Ho-Tep?
OK, now I read the list. Overall, it's pretty good, but it does have a few things I'd throw out. And amazingly enough, I think I've pretty much seen all of them.
OK, to Ivan's list. I totally agree on his list of those to be excised - The Sixth Sense? I mean, WTF? Who are they kidding.
His own 100 favorites list is pretty good too with a few exceptions (Petulia, Parallax View, Thw Swimmer). My own favorite Fields movie is It's a Gift.

I've never seen Petulia, I'm sorry to say.
Certainly his list is more interesting because it is one man's vision instead of list by committee.
It's a Gift is pure genius.
IT'S A GIFT is a masterpiece.
(I didn't check the lists, so can't really comment on those.)
