Willie Nelson hit with drug charges?|?Entertainment?|?Entertainment News?|?Reuters.com: "NEW ORLEANS (Reuters) - Country singer-songwriter Willie Nelson and several fellow musicians were charged with misdemeanor drug possession by Louisiana police after a search of their tour bus on Monday turned up marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms.
State police spokesman Willie Williams said the bus was stopped early on Monday morning about 7 miles east of Lafayette, Louisiana, for a routine commercial inspection, and a state trooper smelled marijuana inside the bus.
State Police seized about 1-1/2 pounds (0.7 kg) of marijuana and two-tenths of a pound (91 grams) of mushrooms from the bus, Williams said."

I hear Willy is claiming that the 1 1/2 pounds was for personal use--for an 8-hour period.
I hope this doesen't prove a setback for the Respect for the Aged Day movement.
He's obviously cut back.
Say it ain't so, Willie!
*really wishes we'd gone to Amsterdam this summer*
The Katrina thing must have blown over, so to speak, now that Louisiana is back to allocating tax dollars to busting good ol' boys who just want to get high and play music. And I thought they were still having big problems down there. Bill, you left out my favorite part of the story. A pound-and-a-half, and they let Willie go with a misdemeanor citation. It's about high time.
