Blatant Plug for New Book

Just in case you haven't done your Christmas shopping yet (you know who you are), I thought I'd let you know that my latest book, A Bond with Death, got a nice review in the November 28th Chicago Tribune. Remember, books make the perfect gift. One size fits all.

Here's what the reviewer said: "Bill Crider...writes two entertaining mystery series about his friends and colleagues.... In his third book about small-town English professor Sally Good, Crider links the muder of a campus troublemaker with Good's late husband, supposedly related to a Salem witch.

"As clean and sharp as a fine Bowie knife. Crider's prose slices through conventions and expectations to produce an enjoyable read, no matter what state you're in."

Nice comments by the reviewer, but isn't there a backhand slap involved, too? I mean, he (she?) says you write two good series, so does that mean the others are not good? Inquiring minds want to know.
Speaking of Sally Good, I received the latest a few days ago and will start it tonight.

I think he meant what he said, "two entertaining mystery series about his friend and collegues." That would be the Carl Burns (or Boss Napier) series and the Sally Good series. He just failed to mention the superb series that's NOT about my friends and colleagues.

I know, Bill. I just wanted him and everyone else know that you have more great series than those two (even if some are on hiatus). For my money, you could have a new book out every month. In fact, now that you're retired I can't imagine why you don't.

Thanks, Cap'n. The only guy I know who can do one a month is the amazing James Reasoner.
