Another Cool Interview with Me

PAUL BISHOP ~ WRITER: ALLIGATOR MAN—BILL CRIDER: This is another interview where full disclosure is required. Bill Crider and I have been friends since our early days of mystery fandom and fanzines. We both broke into professional fiction writing in the mid-eighties, both in (different) men’s adventure series paperbacks published under pseudonyms. Since those days, we’ve continued our friendship through years of publishing successes under our own names, mystery conventions, tales of recreational running, and shared collecting obsessions...

It was pretty cool.

And Bill's pseudonymous books are well worth reading too, especially the cannibal vampire lesbian western (or not).

If the Dan Rhodes you're underway on is the last, it is my heartfelt wish that you don't kill off any of the core regulars. It's hard to reread earlier books in a series when authors do that. I like beloved characters to live on in my heart...

"I also got the chance to write a private-eye novel with Humphrey Bogart as a featured character. It’s one of my better books, though nobody has heard of it—We’ll Always Have Murder is the title."

Well, some of us have not only heard of it, some of us own it in hardcover and like it a lot.
