The Black Lash

Al "Fuzzy" St. John was the cousin of Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle, and appeared in many of the shorts that his cousin and their close friend Buster Keaton made, frequently as the comic antagonist. He also did a number of shorts on his own, frequently directed by Arbuckle after the scandal of the Virginia Rappe case. In the sound era St. John was a popular western sidekick, to the point that in some countries he, and not the titular hero (here Lash LaRue) was the featured character.
