Whatever happened to the good old days when I was a kid in the 60s and we had to prepare for those H-Bombs that the Russkies would be sending our way. I sure loved those "duck and cover" drills.
Perhaps surprisingly, the same steps you'd take in preparation for an onslaught of ravenous monsters are similar to those suggested in advance of a hurricane or pandemic.
Except that preparation for a zombie onslaught usually emphasizes stockpiles of guns and ammo, not bedsheets and duct tape.
I was at Pioneer Courthouse Square in downtown Portland the other day, and a bunch of morons dressed as zombies were handing out flyers about this. Turned the whole thing into a joke, which I'd guess the opposite of the desired effect.

I'm just praying that when the Zombie Apocalypse does come, Nicolas Cage has the starring role.
