I'm a Charteris/SAINT fan from way back, and I have the 3-4 non-SAINT novels he wrote before MEET--THE TIGER! in 1927. I've never heard of this one, or seen it listed on any Charteris bibligraphy; I suspect it may be a movie novelization. I would be very curious to know if it's any good; there are copies available on line, but they ain't cheap.
I actually found this on a paperback rack in an old hillbilly drug store back in the 60s. As Elizabeth observed, it's a novelization from a movie and largely forgettable--the movie's good, though.

Don't think I've read this. Has anyone? Is it any good?
I haven't read it.
There's a film adaptation with Deanna Durbin; here's a clip:

I have a copy on Mount TBR. It's a pretty short book and I hope to get to it this year.

Charteris's introduction to _Lady on a Train_ states: "...we took the precaution of writing the picture first and the book afterwards."
