The Story of a Theater that Became a Library
When we were in Austin for the Armadillocon, Judy and I went out to dinner with some friends. We drove past a building that I recognized immediately. It was (or had been) the theater where Judy and I went to The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly at a special midnight showing when it opened in Austin. It was where we saw 2001. Now it's a public library, with the old theater sign still out in front. Here's the story: Mid Tex Mod: Rebirth of Austin's Americana: The Story of a Mid-'60s Roadside Theater and '90s Community-based Municipal Sustainability

I attended several big film showings at that theater also. Glad to see it still being useful.
