Long gone, of course, like the cap pistols.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02350478005243505108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3668066.post-70471306215958118402013-01-03T12:53:49.715-06:002013-01-03T12:53:49.715-06:00My mother was one of those people who feared guns ...My mother was one of those people who feared guns so we never had any in the house, including BB guns. I'd put my eye out. I had a cap gun and for a time brought it to school, as did some of the other boys.

I fired my first rifle when I was 12--a .22 a neighborhood kid owned. A few years later my cousin would steal his father's 20-gauge and we'd go out and kill rabbits, squirrels, and chipmunks.

I fired a variety of guns in the Army: M-14, M-16, grenade launcher, and machine gun. Also a bazooka.

When I moved to Washington in '78 and was here a few years I took up hunting. I acquired a 30-30 carbine, a 30-06 deer rifle, a .44 magnum revolver, a 20-gauge shotgun, a .22 revolver, a .22 rifle, and a .38 Special revolver. I sold several of them and stopped hunting when it became too much trouble to hike all over creation dragging a dead deer.

I also have a concealed weapon permit and sometime I carry my .38, but not often. I played with it until I lost the plastic bullets. When I was in ROTC, I was on the Rifle Team where I fired a .22 in target competition. That's pretty much my history with guns.Georgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04546161337366365635noreply@blogger.com
