Here's what I ju...This makes me incredibly sad. Here's what I just posted on FB: Eugene Cernan was the last man to walk on the moon, and the only astronaut I ever met. I was 20, I think...maybe 19...and was part of an entertainment group at a private meeting in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Mr. Cernan was in attendance, but at some point...I think before things began...he came into the kitchen were about a dozen of us were waiting, and he talked with us for maybe 10 minutes, or maybe 20, I don't remember. What I do remember is him taking the time to talk with us and tell us what it was like to be in space and on the moon. That was over thirty years ago, and I remember it to this day. He was a true hero, and I cannot express how appreciative and honored I was and am that he took the time to talk to us. RIP, Mr. Cernan. I wish you would have lived forever.Brett Battleshttp://www.brettbattles.comnoreply@blogger.com
