( in the car), within a few feet of 8 or 10 bison feeding in the evening at Custer State Park in ND (out of the car) and danced with a young bull who had ideas about who should own a bridge in Yellowstone. It was a two-step. He'd take two steps forward and I'd take two steps back. They are wondrous creatures. Once a friend and I walked a boardwalk between buffalo on either side on our way to a small geyser in Yellowstone. They didn't lift an eyebrow.
