Writers have been bemoaning the "the end of the western" for decades, yet new careers continue to be launched and every month I see new westerns on the stands by fine writers like Gorman and others, and reprints of Grey, Brand, L'Amour and others. Maybe things ain't what they used to be but then, what is? Relax, gang. The western isn't going anywhere.
