Some lesser-known guys come up big in the World Series - Gene Tenace in 1972 comes to mind - while other big stars (can you spell "A-Rod"?) fizzle out. It's happened to Gil Hodges and Dave Winfield and many others. It doesn't mean they suck in general, just this series.<BR/><BR/>Anyway, the White Sox were clearly the better team. And Houston's offense was really pathetic. When the M's won 116 game...I feel your pain, Bill. When the M's won 116 games a few years ago they looked like a shoe-in to go all the way. They didn't even win the AL pennant. It's called choking.
